Artist Commentary:
The pink & blue signs represent stereotypes, and the chains represent how those stereotypes are limiting women’s potential. The balance scale shows how society is making it seem like males are superior to other genders when truly, they are all equal & should not be treated any differently from each other. On a real scale, the side which is lower is usually known as heavier or more powerful. So this graphic can be interpreted in different ways. In the background, I’ve drawn some colourful images of a few of the many women who’ve helped to shape the world, and prove that women are just as strong, smart and powerful as any other gender.
