Artist Commentary:
This piece was created to hearten students undergoing immense academic stress.
The main character of the comic, the girl, was fatigued by schoolwork. After getting sufficient rest, she was energised. She took a deep breath and was ready to continue her journey.
The layout of this piece referenced Japanese Manga panels, which are expressive in nature. The thick brushstrokes and contrast in colour aimed to create a theatrical ambiance.
The little note at the end was to remind everyone that, YOU, deserve quality rest.
